Perhaps you meant to find me after all...?
DELIA.LUCREZIA.SAVASTA
"Precision is a virtue. Patience is a choice."
THE STUDY BEGINS
name ;; Delia Lucrezia Savasta
nicknames ;; Del Savage, Madam Secretary, Artemis
gender ;; Female
age;; 24
job ;; Personal Assistant, Rain Guardian
origin ;; Padua, Italy
affiliation ;; Astore
I can be that person. I can be there for you. I can be the only one you would ever need or want. Why should I?
BE CAREFUL OF ASSUMPTIONS
first impression ;;Delia appears to be fairly tall (5'7 or so) and unassuming, her long red hair draws attention but hides part of her face not covered by her glasses. She is quite pretty, but in general a no nonsense expression limits the number of people who would think to strike up a conversation.
body build ;; She has an average to slim build hidden by her typical attire so appears at first glance to be somewhat larger than she actually is.
attire ;; Regardless of the weather or circumstances, Delia's clothing covers almost all of her skin from ankles to neck. Long sleeves are common as are long skirts and pants, loose or layered to allow for unexpected hiding places with numerous hidden pockets disguised to just adjust the build without appearing to hold anything in particular. Though some of her clothing appears to be dragging or impractical, it is all modified to be functional and not get in her way. She also is almost always seen with a green scarf around her neck. She prefers simple colors such as blacks, whites, and earth tones. Delia's "style" so to speak is clean and classic, a bit old fashioned for this day and age.
Have you ever wanted something to live for and found naught but lies?
INTO THE CORE
personality ;;Delia acts quite congenial to people she meets casually. She portrays herself as a woman of grace and quiet calm, luring them in to a sense of unassuming trust. However, inwardly she is a cynic and doesn't really trust anyone to show her the same consideration, let alone be worth showing her true personality.
She has a wry wit and dry sense of humor, typically shaming those who act foolishly with a few mere words. Inwardly, she doesn't really care much about people or have any tolerance for inefficiency.
While she enjoys messing with people, really she is constantly looking for someone worthy of her respect and tests everyone she meets constantly. If you do not prove yourself adequately, she sees no reason for your continued existence.
She is incredibly self focused and calculating, wanting everything to have a purpose and clear intended outcome. This single minded intensity continuously gets in the way of making decisions as 'rationality' overtakes any emotional attachment for better or worse.
Rather than being purely heartless, the fact of the matter is that acting based on feelings alone is a foreign thought to her and regardless of her feelings on a matter she will make the decision she deems most beneficial. This allows her to maintain her composure, but prevents a lot of social ties from forming in the first place or being maintained if the other person involved doesn't understand her distance.
Delia doesn't believe in doing things by halves and can get carried away with the details in planning, putting the tried and true methods and protocols for a situation above changing behavior for different circumstances. She is very set in her ways and concerned constantly about doing things the best way possible.
She is also quite dependent on other people. She genuinely doesn't want her own goals, preferring to follow as a means of decreasing stress. She is most comfortable acting the subordinate but does not tolerate any perceived lack of respect.
Delia's fighting style is born entirely of her personality. She doesn't really run unless she has to, whether it is towards or away from her target. She stands firm in one spot and thinks, focusing all of her energy into thinking about her attacks with how and where she is going to fire. She has great strength in her arms from practicing with the weight of her bow, but aside from that is rather delicate when it comes to taking damage. Her reflexes and dexterity are entirely devoted toward reaction time for better accuracy and dodging with minimal focus taken away from her efforts. Her speed itself... not so great. She prefers to corner a target, keep them distracted, or catch them unawares. Her tranquil flames lend themselves toward compensating for her slow deliberation by slowing her opponent to some degree in turn.
strengths ;; Delia is very good at adjusting to different environments without the slightest waver in her calm persona and can fake understanding well enough to integrate herself into different companies without anyone noticing her presence as out of place.
In combat, her greatest strength would be the sheer range she can reach with her bow and the power and accuracy behind each shot.
Her greatest strength though is that she is not effected by emotional manipulation and does not allow any sort of passion to cloud her judgment against what she understands to be a logical action.
weaknesses;; She dismisses people out of hand if she doesn't see a use for them (and can be very, very wrong) and is incredibly stubborn about actually changing her mind though she will go along with nearly anything to an extent.
In combat, her greatest weakness would be her lack of mobility. Her primary weapon is quite large and requires time and focus to be properly effective. Her defensive capabilities are marginal at best when it comes to close range.
She also has an incredible weakness to disorganization. She can't let any sort of paper work sit or deal with an unorganized environment and can be kept busy indefinitely sorting and resorting.
Oh my, did you mistake my words? You won't need to worry about anything ever again.
LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES
history;;Delia was born the only child to a rich but naïve family. They had moved to Italy from Austria the generation before and were reveling in their new found wealth and peace of mind after they had a sudden influx of money from the discovery of an archaeological dig. They were unaccustomed to the lifestyle they adapted and were taken advantage of by many to the extent their lavish savings had dwindled by the time Delia was 8.
Her parents were always smiling and weren't the least bit concerned with the change in their situation, not understanding that the constant “mistakes” others made with their funds were intentional. Delia knew this and even from a young age tried to remedy the problem by talking to various staff and learning what she could to keep her parents from being taken advantage of. It was ultimately futile. She was just a child, and was not taken seriously even if she were the only one taking their lives seriously. She became disgusted with people who forgave so easily and determined to never let herself be seen the fool.
She fell into contact with the Astore family when she was 15, meeting the 9th generation's boss almost by chance. She mistook a conflict between families on the street as threatening an older man, and stepped in diffusing the situation through obfuscation, alternating between a perceived innocence to the conflict and a soothing mediation of the issues Delia managed to draw out of them in a public forum. Though unnecessary, Samual was intrigued by her and realized the calculation involved.
A year later, she broke off from her family to join the Astore after weighing the possibilities for future progress. Her family disapproved, but were doting and refused to stay out of contact entirely even if she wished they would. Delia is... irritated by their persistence, but their acknowledgment has allowed her to use their name to her benefit.
Learning more about proper protocols and mannerisms became a priority for her. Everything had a logical set of instructions and any variation on those instructions was seen as negligence on her own part for failing to memorize the appropriate response. The 9th boss became a model of respect, and her loyalty to the Astore became absolute as they were the ones who promised her respect in return.
She worked for them, dedicating 5 years of her life toward making their family prosper and be more efficient in their own dealings. She rose through the ranks not through combat capabilities but through strength of personality, though on her own she trained her archery with all due solemnity.
However, 3 years ago there was... a bit of a falling out with the Family. Delia had a plan for increasing usefulness of lower ranking members of the mafia. It was not the nicest of plans. It was also leaked to a few of said members before implementation. They were less than pleased. She was less than pleased. She was informed that their expertise exceeded her own in that regard. She was also told that persistence in the matter would result in grave inquiry into her current position. She... took a break. An extended break. Without any intention to return without an explicit apology. It wasn't going to happen. She didn't expect it to.
Her pride had been trampled on, and it was her fault entirely. Her loyalty was to the family, but she did not want to stay and face her own mistake, preferring to leave and help indirectly through aiding the business without meeting with any actual members of the Family.
She took jobs in various fields, walking the lines of legality as she searched for something fulfilling. Morality was a gray field as she tried to take on other people's goals as her own, helping them achieve their ends with all her energy. She was disappointed. In the end everything seemed so... petty.
When news reached her of the Family's sudden demise, Delia decided her immaturity was preventing her from being the person she wanted to be and regretted not being there to make some difference. She went after the 10th and decided to see if she could help build the Family back up again and see if she could find someone else worth following. Someone worth her time and energy that she could devote her life to.
Are you worth the trouble? Do you deserve to live?
NO HESITATION, NECESSE EST.
dying will flame ;; Rain
Box Weapon ;;name ; Pioggia Lupo – Rainfall Wolf
type ; Box Animal - Rain Flame
description ;A constantly melting and reforming wolf half solid and half water, it slips away from most physical attacks and glides forward relentlessly. It stands 4 and a half feet tall, dark gray and almost transparent around the edges at once. It is utterly silent and attacks by throwing its weight against it's target in one stream or by ripping with its fangs. If it hits a solid target it can dissolve completely into water and let it be hit by the force of the stream before reforming, but is almost always has a solid core that can and does take damage. It has a weakness to lightening and mist, getting caught up in illusions easily if not actively directed. In general it is independent as Delia trusts her defense to it's onslaught.
Box Weapon ;;name ; Incessante Luna – Relentless Moon
type ; Box Weapon - Rain Flame
description ;A solid silver bow engraved with a flowing script, it stands at about 5 and a half feet long, requiring stability and focus to draw the heavy weapon let alone fire it. The arrows are formed through the flames and with enough control can be fired rapidly, of varying size, or in multiples simultaneously. They hit with devastating impact but require immobility during the firing process and absolute control and focus of intent.
weapons and items;;Astore Rain Ring, carries various objects hidden on her person through habit such as papers, pens, lock picks, and tea.
special attacks ;;Glimmering Fall – Delia shoots nearly straight up, multiplying the arrows to completely litter the area of her target with as many hits as possible. Each hits with considerable impact due to the added effect of gravity and strength of the bow to begin with, but is not the fastest move by any means, as it gives the target ample time to move as the arrows fly.Achilles Thorn – Shoots a single slim, barbed arrow to a specific point, aiming deliberately for a joint, chink, or perceived weakness. It is fired off as quickly as possible based on prediction of movement and while it is not as heavy of a shot as others in her arsenal, it is intended to strike where it will be most crippling and stay there.Wavering Pulse – This is an attack designed to throw targets off balance. For facing other ranged opponents and opponents used to reading patterns of attacks, this is a technique where the pace between shots and even the distance the bow's string is drawn back between shots is varied to change the power, speed, and expected time of the shot as it is fired to make it less predictable.Laurel Seal - Delia shoots Rain Arrows into the ground forming a border around the area of combat and throughout in a specific pattern that release tranquil flames. Anything within this area is slowed down by a degree determined by relative rank and flame purity, the purity only being a factor if the individual within the field is actively using their flame to combat the effect. The field's slowing effect effects every movement within the area including inanimate objects, with the exception of whether a safe zone is created within the field's effects by another ring of arrows and Delia herself.Serenity Shot – This is a tranquilizing shot loaded with Rain flames that, depending on the will and relative rank of the target comparatively to Delia's own, can numb, paralyze, or even knock out a target. It does relatively less harm, but has the calming effect on the target's physiology as the tranquil flames disperse.

AS THE CURTAIN FALLS
extra ;;Delia's end goal is to find someone else whose cause she can support without hesitation. She doesn't want to do things for herself, she just wants someone to believe in that she can devote all of her energy towards.
Don't let your time be wasted.

A LIGHT SAMPLE
role play sample ;;With a stormy glare Kaida hissed at Blue and gestured towards the wreckage that lay at her feet. “I thought we had agreed on stealth for this one. No making a scene, no calling hordes of addicts upon us, and most of all, no diving into a group of thugs to make a point. So sorry if I’m a bit late here, I was a bit busy with clean up from your last “chat” with these fools.” The illusionist sighed and rubbed her temples mumbling something about the last time she had teamed up with a mutant. Considering that Blue had not yet been drained of her will to live and left in a corner covered in horrific wounds only she could see, Kaida believed this partnership was going quite well in comparison. And if you take into account that “the plan” she so firmly believed in had been thrown away so many times in this mission alone, she was being quite patient and calm about the violation of their unspoken agreement not to interfere with each other’s decisions as long as the job was done. But still, if Blue was actually willing to let her sneak them into FrostFire’s chamber instead of more pointless melee, she would accept that as a sign of good faith and not a pot shot at her abilities’ usefulness.
As they rounded a corner of the hallway, they came to a brutish trio, flame wielders by the look of them and the desecration of the previously white walls, now charred with embers littering the partially melted tiles beneath their feet. Instead of her usual translucent approach, the redhead strode up to the nearest of the bunch confidently and placed two fingers of her right hand together between them. The pyro was a bit confused at first, both about whether she was friend or foe, and what she was doing there in the first place. As the first few precious seconds of stunned silence turned to a smirk for the leader and an exclamation for the two behind, she spoke the words to change their minds.
“Stop. We are here to see FrostFire. You’ve been expecting us, and have no reason to be alarmed. You recognize us and our names don’t you? Kaida Masako and Blue Animal sound familiar do they not? Take us to FrostFire immediately. He will be angry if he waits. You don’t want to see him angry, do you? Take us there and keep us out of sight of the others, or we might be late.” From the first word a glaze formed over their eyes and they nodded their heads with a happy grin as they agreed to her words. What simpletons. A lack of mental capacity made them more aggressive and lowered their resistance to her. She could almost be grateful to FrostFire for making her job easier by hiring such cannon fodder, if touching the minds of these delinquents hadn’t left her with a feeling of grease and slime that, she knew from experience, nothing but a mental cleansing would clear. Every mind felt different, but she had lost her taste for indiscriminant control over gang members after she had left the Circle and it was no longer expected as part of her job description.
Following their new “friends”, Kaida and Blue came to a sliding glass door through which they could see a room half frozen and covered in icy ramps and blobs, and half smoldering as bonfires are fueled with office supplies and furniture. In places they met there was an odd smoking effect as if there is a sauna line dividing his followers into separate factions. Even before the door opens the loud raucous voices of the gang bellow towards them.

You can only take shelter from the rain for so long...
