THE PRELUDE TO DESTRUCTION
Name ;; Sylvester Nicolai Von Rosenberg
Nicknames ;; Sylv, Sylver, Anything but Nicolai.
Gender ;; Male
Age;; 21
Job ;; Hitman (Applying for Guardian)
Origin ;; Tulcea, Romania
Affiliation ;; Vongola
Even when my hand loses all of its strength and I can't fight,
I'll show you, I'll keep drawing for you
I'll show you, I'll keep drawing for you
A LOOK IN THE MIRROR SHOWS ALL
First impression ;; At first glance, Sylvester comes off as being quite standoffish or snobbish. That, however, is usually him being shy. He tends not to talk to people he doesn't know, which can sometimes give him that "I'm better than you," impression.
Body build ;; Sylver's a wiry fellow. He's not lacking in muscles, but he's not a very ripped fellow either. He's just an average-looking guy.
Attire ;; Sylvester typically sports his grey jacket along with a pair of jeans and a belt. He likes wearing black sneakers unless he has to dress up, and he never goes anywhere without his necklace, an odd little trinket with an amulet of two salamanders in a circle. It's a bizarre item, but he never takes it off.

THE INSIDE OF THE SOUL
personality ;;If there is one specific word to describe Sylvester Nicolai Von Rosenberg, it would be "awkward". He is very stand-offish and he likes to keep to himself and doesn't really respond well to others outside of missions and other family related work. Even then, he just keeps to himself unless spoken to, or unless he has something he must say of the utmost importance. He has a tendency to be very clumsy in a large group setting. He also has the issue of being oblivious and occasionally lacking common sense, and his language barrier with other mafioso doesn't seem to help. Academically, Sylvester's intelligence is at a high level, however, his one-track mindedness tends to get him into trouble during social settings. Although he's awkward, clumsy, and a bit shy, Sylvester has a strong sense of duty and does his best to protect the family. He gets very hostile if he feels that the family is at risk, and will try to eliminate the problem as quickly as possible, which is not always the best option. A good thing about Sylver is that he is very capable in battle if he is focused. When something big is at stake he usually focuses and gets the job done pretty easily, it's not that he's extremely powerful or anything like that, he instead has a habit of taking experience from previous encounters and using his info to his advantage. Sylvester prefers to think before he strikes, making him a very tactical hitman to say the least. Although he's a goofy young man, he takes his job seriously and delvers 999.99% of the time. As for social situations, good luck to those trying to be his friend. He will have no problem being your partner, but friendship is something he doesn't really understand. However, if one were to make him their friedn, they would find him to be loyal, if not at the very least, sincere. Sylvester is not quick to anger, and prefers to walk away over silly issue, but he will stand up for what's right, even if it makes him feel really uncomfortable.
strengths ;; High intelligence, logical, loyal to a fault, kind and sincere.
weaknesses;; Awkward, shy, comes off as snobbish, lacks street smarts, a tad nerdy, not good in crowds or at parties.

DON'T LOOK BACK TO THE PAST
history;;Sylvester is actually the son of Count Victore Von Rosenberg, a man with a lot of wealth and influence in Romania. The only problem is that he is the illegitimate son of the Count Von Rosenberg. His mother was a poor farm girl who lived in a small village on the outskirts of Tulcea.
When Sylver was a boy, he lived a poor but happy life with his mother and her parents. When he was about seven years old, he would help his grandfather tend to the farm by helping with the harvests and taking care of the animals. It was hard work, but he loved every second of it. At age thirteen, his happy life was brought to an end as he found out that his grandparents had been paying off a gang of ruffians that were constantly at their doorstep, threatening to burn down the farm if they weren't paid monthly.
On the day that Sylvester found this out, the boy called out the ruffians, telling them to get out of his grandparent's land. The gang members didn't take to kindly to that and returned later with torches and guns, telling the child that "this is what happens when you disrespect your elders." They restrained the young Sylvester as the burned down the farm, with mother and grandparents still inside. After that horrifying experience, he was sent to his only surviving relative, Count Victore Von Rosenberg, who had wanted nothing to do with Sylvester since the lad was born. However, being that his current wife had only produced females, he needed a male heir to the title of Count, and therefore accepted Sylvester as one of his own.
Life in the castle was decent, but Sylvester never really enjoyed it. His father was cold and uncaring and his new mother resented him. His three half sisters were nice enough, but even they became bothersome. Not waning to deal with his new "family," Sylvester locked himself up in his room and waited for days to end by reading books. He would read anything that he could get his hands on. However, he later became intrigued by a series of books on rings and box weapons. The more that Sylvester read, the more interested he became.
Coincidentally, on his fifteenth birthday, his father had set up a coming of age ritual that was common within the Von Rosenberg family that used to see if the boy coming of age had the potential to create ring flames, if so, they were given rings and boxes in order to be trained in their usage. What Sylvester later found out was that the Von Rosenberg family prided themselves in training young men into hitmen that would contract themselves with the mafia. The young boy recieved his rings and weapons with enthusiasm, but wasn't too thrilled about being a hitman. He told his father that it wasn't the job for him and that he was meant to be a researcher. However, the Count didn't listen because he was too busy thinking about Sylvester's potential to be a hitman. He sent Sylvester to a boarding school in Italy in order to make him show respect for the way of the mafia. He was also told that he must get a contracted job with some sort of mafia.
The Count's son ended up meeting many mafioso in his high school and many in the general area, he was later picked up by a family and asked to join. Unsure of what that even meant he decided to give it a try, initially regretting it. His mind was changed after his life was saved by a mofioso of the Vongola, one that went to his high school in Italy. After thanking the young man he asked about the Vongola family, and eventually requested to join. It was a difficult process, but he somehow got in. Ever since then he has been grateful for that opportunity, even if they are a bit too crowded for his tastes.

Box Weapon ;;Name ; Axolotl di Fulmine (Lightning Axolotl)
Type ; Box Animal - Lightning Flame
Description ; The Axolotl di Fulmine, or Axo for short. is a small creature that is about half a foot long, and about 2-3 inches tall. He's a type of salamander, but has feature's that separates him from other salamanders. For one thing, axolotls have long, frilly red gills that extend from their head, It makes the creature look like he is wearing a headdress. He also has a long tail, and pale white skin. Axolotl's are a critically endangered species that only live in two lakes near Mexico City in Mexico. They are a strange species in that they keep certain larval traits that other salamanders do not. For example, most salamanders don't keep their gills when they become adults, but axolotls do. Also, as a bonus, axolotls have the infantile trait to rapidly regrow their still developing cells. For example, if an arm was cut off, it grows back the same way very quickly, because the Axolotl di Fulmine is a box weapon, he tends to regenerate even more swiftly, not as a swiftly as, let's say, a sun box animal, but it's fairly speedy. The Axolotl di Fulmine has Lightning Flames on it's gills, making it look like he has a flaming headdress. he may emanate Lightning Flame from his gills in order to be used as an offensive and defensive strategy. Another important tip about Axolotls is that they were worshiped by the Aztecs as servants of the god of death and deformations, Xolotl. Because of this, some say that they are a symbol of death, sort of like little grim reapers. (Everything I just said about the Axolotl non-related to being a box weapon is true. This is an Axolotl.)
Abilities ;;Axolotol di Fulmine utilizes his Lightning Flames in a peculiar way. Axo has the ability to coat his entire body with hardened Lightning Class Flames then discharge his flames via his gills, which creates a special net of lightning flames. This "net" can be used in two ways. The first way is the most obvious, Axo creates a barrier that, due to the solidification factor of his Lightning Class Flames, is very difficult to break down, but it has been done, mainly by Storm and Rain Flame users. He can also make the barrier smaller and more compact, allowing the Axolotl di Fulmine to charge forward. As he's covered in super condensed Lightning Flames, he has a tendency of piercing through armor. This technique is handy against multiple enemies and is good for breaking down doors.
History ;;This Box Weapon was the one given to him by his father, Count Von Rosenberg. Although before the Vongola, Sylvester never did many hitman jobs, he took Axo out a lot in order to study him. The two eventually became well acquainted with each other, and good friends even sooner. Axo is the only Box Animal that Sylvester has, and for good reason. Sylvester has spent so much time studying and training with Axo, that he most likely wouldn't use another Box Animal.Name ; Netto Fulmine (Lightning Net)
Type ; Box Weapon - Lightning Flame
Description ; The Netto Fulmine is the other half of Sylvester's Box Weapons. This weapon mainly comes out on one of two conditions. The first conditions is if he or any other members of his Family are in extreme danger, the other is if he needs to contain someone. The Netto Fulmine can be used a a shield that can protect anyone inside with it's solidified Lightning Flames. It can also keep those inside from getting out unless Sylvester releases them.
Abilities ;;It' a net coated in Lightning Flames. Although protection and containment are it's two main functions, it has other qualities. It can be used as rope, which is handy since its hardening factor keeps it from breaking. It also has a use as barrier between buildings or doorposts, keeping unsavory things out.
History ;;This Box Weapon was also given to Sylvester by Count Von Rosenberg. At first, the boy thought that this weapon was absolutely useless, but soon realized its value when he accidentally opened it in a fight and it shielded him from what could have been a fatal blow.
Weapons and Items;;Sylvester carries a Lightning Ring that has the insignia of the Count Von Rosenberg on it. He also carries with him, his signature weapon, a pitchfork. Although it seems like a silly weapon, it is Sylver's only keepsake from the farm that was burned down. The wooden handle was replaced with one made of a special metal alloy. Although it is a handy weapon, it also serves as a lightning rod for enemy flame attacks. Sylvester's skill with the pitchfork comes from 5 years of ruthless training from his father and the program under which they train young Von Rosenberg men to be maifa hitmen.
Special Attacks ;;Lightning Trident - This is Sylvester's most common attack. The head of his pitchfork becomes covered in Lightning Class Flames. He then rushes at his foe and stabs or slashes them with the hardened weapon. With the solidification factor of the lightning flames, Sylvester can pierce through most armors. This attack is quite simple and has a cool down time of about 1-2 minutes.
Trident Thundebolt - This attack is aerial version of the Lightning Trident. It usually involves Sylver throwing the pitchfork at his target. What makes this attack more powerful is that he boosts the handle as well as the head of the weapon in order to make the pitchfork hit at a faster velocity. Its momentum makes its piercing power stronger than his short range Lightning Trident. This attack takes a little bit more energy than Lightning Trident, and therefore has a ten minute cool down time
Electric Aura - Sylvester activates this attack with the help of the Axolotl di Fulmine. The Axolotl di Fulmine releases a amount of Lightning Flames from his gills. The Flames coat Sylvester's body as he charges at his opponent. This attack is meant for hand to hand combat since his skin and bones have hardened due to lightning class flames, however because this increases his density, he can use this with his pitchfork. Because it increases his strength immensely and increases his offensive and defensive capabilities tenfold, this attack needs to cool down for about 8 hours.
Lightning Barrier Wave - This attack require's both box weapons to be opened at the same time. The Axolotl di Fulmine charges at his while dragging the Netto Fulmine by its center. The Axolotl di Fulmine uses his flaming gills to discharge Lightning Class Flames all across the Netto Fulmine. This attack is intended to push back enemy flame attacks, sending them back at the opposing force. This attack is meant for large groups of enemies but can be beaten by a heavy concentration of Storm or Rain flames. The cool down for this attack is about an hour..

A TASTE OF YOUR SKILL
role play sample ;;It is believed that these legendary creatures are the origins of all animals that currently exist today. If our research is viable, we should be able to find out how to harness these great beasts as Box Weapons by studying the Box Animals that we currently have. If only Geppetto Lorenzini's missing work can be retrieved, we will be able to see what other animals he had dreamed of turning into weapons.
Sylvester closed the book in his hands. He had read this book about fifteen times, not entirely sure what it meant. He was only fifteen, so some things were outside of his comprehension, but the basics of the book were understood: There were creatures on this earth more powerful than we can even imagine. Whether they still exist or not, if one could turn these into a weapon, it would be another great scientific leap for mankind, but how?
He was currently in his room, doing what he did best, reading. That's all Sylvester ever seemed to do, read countless books. He read all sorts of books, novels and manuscripts, but his favorites were those on a subject most interesting to him: Box Weapons. More specifically, he liked books about Box Animals. He had always been fond of animals ever since his grandfather had him help out with the animals on the farm. Taking care of the cows and horses had always been his favorite job. Too bad the farm, and everything in it was now ashes. Life had a way of biting one in the ass.
Sylver shook his head, he disliked thinking about that time, but unfortunately, all of his happy moments were at the farm. His life at the Castle Von Rosenberg was okay, but he never felt like he truly belonged there. His father was a cold man and his step mother found him to be a pest. His three sisters were nice, but he would become annoyed with them. He also had a problem with the constant barrage of servants trying to wait on him. Couldn't these people understand that he just needed space?
He sighed in frustration. He had been trapped in this castle for close to two years, and hadn't once felt a home. This life was so much different than life with his mother. Back at the farm, he had the freedom to do what he want when he wanted, at least, after he did all of his chores. At this residence, he had people waiting on him all of the time, people telling him what to do, having every aspect of his life monitored or controlled by someone else. The only time he ever had to himself was late at night when he had the opportunity to sneak into the castle library and take the books to his chambers where he could read them alone. Currently, he was reading one of his favorites, The Future of Box Weapon Technology. He had read this particular book over fifty times, and every time he read it, he felt like he learned something new.
One thing in particular that he recently learned wasn't even in any of his books. Earlier that morning, his father had greeted him with a friendlier air than before. It was an odd feeling, having his father so much as smile at him, even if it was his birthday. The Count had never given him a second glance on his fourteenth birthday, but now that he was fifteen, everything had changed.
"You will now be working for the mafia," His father had told him. "Now that you are of age, you will be trained to become one of the greatest hitmen in the world. Be proud my son, it's a family tradition." The tall, lean-faced Count handed him a clear ring. "This," Victore spoke to his son in that cold tone of his, "will determine what type of flames you possess. Now think of setting flame to this ring and show me your resolve."
Sylvester had nodded, unsure of what to make of all this. He looked down at the ring and stared at it for a bit. Following his father's instructions, he thought of fire, and hoped that this would end quickly. After a second or two, the ring glowed green and started crackling with electricity. "Ah. Very good," The count praised his son, "I see you bear Lightning Flames like myself, this is promising. Now I must give you your weapons."
The Count led his son into a antechamber below the castle. The room was lined with shelves that held countless boxes. Many of them were green, yellow, red, and purple, but there were a few of them that were blue and indigo. Sylvester marveled at the sight. They were just like in his books, except these weren't drawings on a piece of paper, they were real, and each one contained some sort of weapon inside.
"Quite the spectacle, eh my boy?" Count Victore asked an awestruck Sylver. "And I will give you two of these as my birthday gift to you. Please choose any of the two green boxes that you would like, and choose wisely because there are no returns on this gift."
The birthday boy nodded as he approached the shelves. He hesitantly reached out and grabbed two boxes sitting next to each other. He held them in his hands and weighed them. He was told to choose wisely, but since there was no way to tell the difference between one box weapon and another, there was no point in being picky, he would get what he'd get, no complaints. "Now what?" he asked the Count.
"Didn't your mother ever teach you manners boy?" Victore raised an eyebrow at the boy. Sylvester sighed, "Now what, sir?" he asked with a disgruntled tone.
"That's better," The Count turned his attention away from the boy and led him to another underground room. This one was filled with weapons. Everything from handguns to knives, swords to spears, there was even a bola and a lasso in the room. "Now," Sylvester's father continued, "You may choose any weapon that you'd prefer. Do not worry about not knowing how to use it. You will be trained how to use it for killing efficiency.
Sylvester groaned under his breath so his father couldn't hear him. He didn't like the idea of killing people, it just wasn't his way of handling things. Why couldn't people just solve things with logic and reason? Unfortunately the boy realized that he would have to undergo this training if he wanted to keep his Box Weapons, and he really wanted those. That was the only reason that he was complying to his father's crap.
As if struck by lightning, Sylvester perked up. He had an idea of what weapon he wanted. "Sir," He spoke to Victore, not wanting to call him "father". There was no way he was calling the man that abandoned him and his mother "father". "You said I can choose any weapon?"
"Why, yes." Victore responded a tad hesitantly, taken aback by his son's question.
"Good," Sylvester ran out of the antechamber and headed towards his room. He returned a few minutes later with an old pitchfork with a burnt wooden handle.
Count Von Rosenberg raised a curious eyebrow at the boy, "You're going to use that?" He asked.
Sylvester nodded with a confident look on his face. "You should be proud, Sir. This is part of a family tradition." From that point on, Sylver decided that if he had to be a hitman, he would do it his way.
